NHS Leeds commissions a broad range of services from a number of NHS Trust providers, the largest of which is the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT).

We commission emergency and planned care from LTHT, the largest teaching hospital in Europe, and are working with them to ensure that we continue to secure the most appropriate volume and range of services to meet the health needs of the population of Leeds.

Leeds and York Partnerships Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is commissioned by NHS Leeds to provide mental health and learning disability services for our local population. Alongside Leeds City Council, the other key commissioner of these services for our residents, LYPFT and NHS Leeds have a close working relationship in the planning of appropriate and responsive services for the users of mental health and learning disability services in the city.

Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust  LCH provides a diverse range of primary and community–based services including Intermediate Care, District Nursing, Drug Treatment Services, School Nursing and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

Alongside other Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in West Yorkshire, we also commission planned and emergency ambulance services from the Yorkshire Ambulance Trust (YAS). Working in partnership, PCTs and YAS have delivered significant improvements in ambulance response times over recent years and continue to seek further improvement.
