Awards Ceremony to Honour Outstanding Involvement

Awards Ceremony to Honour Outstanding Involvement
24 April 2012

NHS Airedale, Bradford and Leeds is holding an event to recognise and celebrate the dedication and commitment shown by members of its Patient, Carer and Public Involvement Network.

The “Celebrating Your Involvement” event will take place on 24 April with John Lawlor, Chief Executive of NHS Airedale, Bradford and Leeds presenting the awards to the worthy winners.

The NHS Airedale, Bradford and Leeds Patient, Carer and Public Involvement Network has been running for four years and has over 500 members. It gives people the chance to get involved and help shape healthcare commissioning and services across the city. Members meet regularly to use their skills and experience to contribute to the future planning and delivery of healthcare throughout the city.

John Lawlor, Chief Executive of NHS Airedale, Bradford and Leeds said: “The hard work and dedication of the members of our Patient, Carer and Public Involvement Network makes a real difference to health services in Leeds. We are delighted to be holding this event to reflect on the work that the network has achieved and honour those members who have gone that extra mile.”

Over 35 entries were judged by a team of services users, along with a member of the NHS Airedale, Bradford and Leeds Board and Patient and Public Involvement Team. Six awards will be handed out on the day including the Community Champion award and three awards for the Outstanding Contribution to a Group or Project.
