NHS competition gives one lucky winner a chance to train with the Leeds Rhinos

Leeds Let’s Change, a programme developed to encourage local people to stay healthier, is running a free competition giving one lucky winner a chance to train with the world champions – the Leeds Rhinos.

To enter the free competition all people need to do is visit www.leedsletschange.co.uk and answer a simple question. As well as a chance for the winner and one of their friends to train with the Leeds Rhinos on 13 August, the lucky winner will also win four hospitality tickets to a Super League game of their choice.

In addition to entering the competition people can sign up to Leeds Let’s Change and get their hands on a voucher booklet. The booklet provides discounts on a range of activities all designed to improve their lifestyles, helping people look better, feel better while having fun.

Dr Ian Cameron, Director of Public Health for Leeds, says: “We are delighted to be running this competition to give people a chance to win a once in a lifetime prize. All they have to do is answer a simple lifestyle based question and they will be entered into the draw. I hope that after entering the competition people find out more about Leeds Let’s Change so that they can take simple steps to improve their lifestyles. Leeds Let’s Change is a fantastic way of helping people in Leeds, including health and social care professionals and community groups, to access advice and support from a single website.”

Leeds Let’s Change, which has been developed by the NHS in Leeds with a range of partners including Leeds City Council and a number of voluntary and community groups, makes it easier for local people to access healthy living advice and support.

Leeds Let’s Change provides a website, www.leedsletschange.co.uk, backed up by a telephone helpline (0113 843 4538) so that local people can access services that can help them make changes to their lifestyles.

By visiting www.leedsletschange.co.uk, or calling the helpline, people can find out how they could use free services, run by the NHS or its partners, to:

  • eat healthier;
  • be active;
  • lose weight;
  • drink responsibly; or
  • quit smoking.

The competition is open to all Leeds residents and runs until 4 July.
