Clinical Commissioning Groups

From April 2013, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) will become statutory NHS organisations responsible for local health budgets, ensuring that we plan and fund high quality healthcare to those living in our area. In Leeds there are three CCGs.

NHS Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group

Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is made up of 38 GP practices in the west and parts of outer north west and south west Leeds.

NHS Leeds North Clinical Commissioning Group

Leeds North CCG is made up of 32 practices mainly covering the north of the city, with practices also in the north east and north west.

NHS Leeds South and East Clinical Commissioning Group

Leeds South and East CCG is made up of 44 local practices covering the area of south and east Leeds.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
The Leeds Teaching Hopsitals website gives useful information for patients, visitors and staff.

Leeds Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
The Leeds Partnership Foundation Trust website gives information on mental health and learning disability services across Leeds.

NHS Leeds Community Healthcare
NHS Leeds Community Healthcare is responsible for providing healthcare services in the Leeds area.

Leeds City Council
The Leeds City Council website will give you information on what is happening in the City, Services and advice.

Leeds Safeguarding Adults Partnership
Works with a range of organisations across Leeds to prevent the abuse of vulnerable people and helping those who have been abused to access the right support services.

Leeds Transitions Service
Leeds City Council's Transition Service supports young people and their parents/carers through the process of changing from children's services to adult social care.

Information for Mental Health (IMH)
The Information for Mental Health website provides information relating to mental health and mental health related services provided in Leeds.

The Yorkshire and Humber SCG website will provide you with information on the SCG and its purpose.

South Leeds Youth Hub

South Leeds Youth Hub is a safe, alcohol and drug free city centre venue created exclusively for young people. The £4m venue is owned by Leeds City Council and run by a partnership board.

NHS Direct
NHS Direct is there for you every day of the year, 24 hours a day. You can use their website to get information on their telephone service, health advice & information and a self-help guide.

NHS Choices
The NHS Choices website is a one-stop site providing information on conditions, treatments and healthy living.

Choose & Book
Choose & Book is a service that lets you choose your hospital or clinic and book your first appointment with a specialist. You will also be able to choose the date and time of your appointment.

18 Weeks
Since December 2008 patients should wait no longer than 18 weeks from the time they are referred to a specialist by a GP to the time they receive the treatment.

NHS Constitution
The NHS Constitution website will give you information on the NHS Constitution which was published on 21 January 2009 and give you an opportunity to contribute on new proposals.

Health Protection Agency
The Health Protection Agency website will give you information on how they protect the public health of the UK.

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence- guidance page for patients

NICE has launched a new page on the website that will allow, for the first time, patients, carers and members of the public to search for the versions of guidance that are written for them.

Patient Opinion
The Patient Opinion website is a free, confidential and independent website where patients can give their views on local NHS services.
