Where to go for help for common mental health problems…
The primary care mental health teams provide assessment; short-term psychological treatment and support for people aged 17 upwards and who are registered with a GP in Leeds.
The service is for people with common mental health problems such as:
• depression;
• anxiety and panic attacks;
• stress; or
• difficulty coping with life events.
Where to go for help if you are feeling desperate…
When we feel low it can be daunting to ask for help but try to talk to someone you trust, such as a good friend or relative. There are many services available to offer support or advice.
If you are thinking of hurting yourself or taking your life please contact your GP (family doctor). If you can’t reach your GP go to Accident and Emergency at Leeds General Infirmary.
